Company Profile

1996    The company, formerly known as Mahanakorn Asset Management Co. Ltd., was established on 7 October 1996 with a paid-up capital of 100 million Baht. It received an asset management license by the Finance Ministry on 15 November 1996. 

1999    With Krung Thai Bank Public Co., Ltd.’s 99.99% acquisition of the company, we became the only asset management company with a state-enterprise status. The company was renamed “Krungthai Asset Management Company” on 4 August 1999, or popularly referred to as “KTAM” among our clients, business partners, and general public. On 23 December 1999, paid up capital was boosted to 200 million Baht to galvanize our competitive position and stature among the business community and clients. 

2000    Awarded a private fund management license on 26 December 2000.

2001    The company’s Thai name was changed on 3 May 2001 by omitting the Thai words for mutual fund, to reflect the expanded scope of business.

2002    The company became a public company and renamed “Krungthai Asset Management Public Company Limited.”

2006    The SEC awarded the company with a license to invest in derivatives on 18 July 2006 

2013    We moved our office from Q-House Sathorn to our present location at Empire Tower

2014    The SEC awarded the company with a license to provide trustee services on 23 January 2014

2019    Awarded a REIT Manager of Real Estate Investment Trust license by SEC on 28 November 2019

2023    The SEC awarded the company with a license to provide Securities Brokerage: Investment Units services on 9 February 2023
